{ FRIDAY, 24 JULY 2009 }
We started off today all excited because mom bought tickets for us to see DC via the red double decker tour buses. Mom even donned her "I love Washington DC" cap. Unfortunately, a setback occurred. This morning while paying for the keikis and dad's drinks at the Starbucks located in our hotel, her wallet disappeared. She isn't sure if someone stole it, if she misplaced it or if it sprouted legs and walked away. All she knows is that it was in her purse and now it isn't and the last place she remembers seeing it was when she paid for those drinks. So please, family and dear readers, pray for my sister and that God will give her peace and that no matter what happens all will be done to His glory. Thanks.While waiting for Atelei to call the banks and cancel everything the keikis had fun playing in the lobby { they always find something fun with which to play }.

Atelei finished a few of her calls and decided that we should enjoy the rest of the day so off we went in search of the big red bus!

WAITING FOR THE BIG RED BUS
YAY... BUBBLES!
After waiting for a bit the bus arrived we were able to find seats on the second floor. Despite the hot and humid weather the keikis were good and the adults had fun viewing all the historical building unobstructed by windows and other vehicles.

After viewing Arlington National Cemetery the bus dropped us off by the pier so we could have a yummy seafood lunch. The kids had the most fun here because we got to eat outside, feed the birds and drink iced cold freshly squeezed lemonade.

After three hours of sightseeing we finally deboarded the big red bus and headed back to our hotel. Brandon, his children, mom, Gian and I headed off to the pool for some down time and had fun cooling off underneath the cool waters. A warm bath, leftover dinner and more BFF fun made the children very happy. What a wonderful way to begin the Sabbath!
