Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

A miracle happened again today. We opted for a late check out because it's a huge endeavor packing for three keikis and six adults. At around 1245 the keikis finished bathing and were dressed and ready to go; mom and dad completed their to-do list; and the rest of us were just lounging around when Atelei's cell phone rang.
"Hello?"
"Hi. May I speak to Leilani?"
"This is she."
"My name is Officer Smith* and I want to let you know that we found your wallet."
Atelei gasped. "Really?! Where did you find it?"
"Maria*, the cleaning lady, found it inside the trash here at the Marriott Metro. Are you still around to pick it up?"
"Yes! Let me just gather my things and I'll be there in five minutes. Thank you so much!"
"You're welcome. See you soon."
We all couldn't believe it because a) DC is crime capitol of the nation; b) thefts usually throw the wallets inside those blue mailboxes; and c) it's rare to recover a lost/stolen wallet. But when God's in control anything is possible. The fact that God allowed this miracle to happen only fifteen minutes prior to us leaving the Grand Hyatt is a miracle itself. It took us two metros and one bus to get us back to Cherry Hill RV Park in Maryland. If God waited twenty more minutes Atelei would have had a difficult time getting back to DC.
And the wallet? The theft(s) left everything save the $40 cash and her credit cards. Atelei's DL, SS card { yes, she actually carried it! } and CRNA cards were still in its place, alongside priceless photos of Jason. To say Atelei was happy is a grave understatement.
A hearty thank you to all who prayed for her because God certainly listened and came through in such a beautiful way. And on the Sabbath... how perfect is that?
