So it's official: we're not big fans of Kansas. Not that there's anything wrong with this city, mind you. It's just not our kind of place. We took the 50/400E { commonly known as a trucker's short cut } last night and early this morning and when we passed through the little towns I felt weird. Granted, it was two o'clock in the morning; however, every single town felt like a ghost town. And sometimes they didn't even have a gas station! But we made it and are now resting in an RV park somewhere in Wichita. Not much to look at here, folks. It's stormy and rainy and the campground isn't that delightful but it has electrical hookups and water and septic drains so we're happy. Next stop, St. Louis's Arch { this time it's man made! }.
The keikis loved the RV park where we stayed in last night. And guess what? The family who runs the place is from the Big Island. They came out to meet us with lots of aloha spirit today; it was nice to get to know such friendly people! While the adults got the RV ready for the long drive to St. Louis the keikis swam in the pool, hung out by some huge tires and just had fun being kids.

We stopped for dinner somewhere in Missouri and had dinner at Olive Garden where we *finally!* plotted the rest of our RV trip. Atelei feels very much relieved that we are now on board and in sync with each other. Please pray that our auntie will be able to help us get hotel rooms for DC and Chicago... it would be easier to stay in hotels in the big cities so that we can take public transits to see the sites.
FINALLY, A NICE DINNER THAT WE DIDN'T HAVE TO CLEAN AFTERWARDS!
