We had some problems pulling into our parking spot inside Cherry Hill Park. Well, I had problems. Brandon was resting in the bedroom because he drove the evening leg so I had to attempt to park. It was tight. And scary. So dad took over and was able to park our 31' RV rock-star style. It was awesome.
Mom craved eggs and hot dogs so she cooked a mad feast while I called for hotels. We found one: the Grand Hyatt Hotel. One problem: how to get there. Because we couldn't park our humongous RV inside the DC area { unless we wanted to pay some huge parking fee } Atelei chose Cherry Hill to store our RV for the next three days. The problem was solved when Atelei purchased Metro tickets to our destination. Mom was excited because it was her first time on a subway.
But first let me show you what the boys decided to do while their parents were packing:
KALE'A AND GIAN, RACING TO THE TOP

Okay, on to our Metro/subway adventure!
KALE'A WON BUT GIAN WOULDN'T GIVE UP

MAILE AND GRANDMA
{ see maile's lip? this morning she accidentally fell off the RV and busted her lip. she's a trooper, though, and didn't cry too much. she did, however, milk the attention for the rest of the day. }

DADDY, PLEASE TEACH ME HOW TO PLAY. I'M READY!
After settling our things inside the hotel Brandon informed us that the White House was only a few blocks away. So we decided to brave the heat, humidity and potential rain to see where the Obama family lives. Dad was pretty excited.
LEAVING THE HOTEL
{ i went too far down so we had to turn around. in the heat. christine felt like she was going to give birth at the white house. }
