Atelei calls today The Day We Stopped Everywhere. Brandon made it to Buffalo and parked in front of IHOP in the WalMart center so that when we awoke we would open the windows, see its blue neon sign and determine to eat there. It worked. They had corned beef hash and eggs too! After breakfast we shopped at WalMart, our favorite on the road store. Seriously, it has everything in there.
Our server at IHOP said that we were only ten minutes away from the falls and that we should buy plastic ponchos at the Dollar Store because we'll get wet. We took her advice but it turned out that the day was perfect so we didn't have need for the ponchos. Good thing it only cost $1.
Niagara Falls. Very pretty. And the cool air felt so good after almost a week of humidity. The keikis had so much fun here because wide open spaces beckons them.

THESE BIRDS ARE FRIENDLY
MY, WHAT A SERIOUS FACE GIAN
NOW THE WHOLE FAMILY GETS INVOLVED
I'M HAPPY YOU TWO CAN SHARE
Gian saw Kale'a biking and Brandon took his out. Gian's feet actually reach the pedals but the syncronization has yet to be mastered so Gian figured out his own way to pedal.
GO, GO, GO!
YOU'RE HILARIOUS, G
While walking to the falls Kale'a caught sight of something unusual: black squirrels. Our squirrels are a light auburn so naturally the keikis had to chase them up the tree.
Finally, we're on our way to the falls!
STROLLING DOWN TO GET A BETTER VIEW
DON'T DO IT, DAD!
WHERE ARE YOU GOING?
YOU CRAZY!
Christine explained that because of the water's energy the electricity is so strong that your hair stands up. She's right!
HERE'S CHIRSTINE'S HAIR...

GIAN AND MAMA
THE OLIVERIO SISTERS
SUCH A HAPPY SISTER
These next series of shots taken by Atelei exemplify why we are on this road trip across America. They fill our days with laughter, frustration and intense joy. We can see them getting closer and closer { and they were already close prior to this trip! } and their love for one another is simply beautiful.
PLAYING YET AGAIN
SHE'S SUCH A LITTLE POSER... I LOVE IT!
ISN'T MAILE TOO CUTE?!
IF THIS DOESN'T MELT YOUR HEART I DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL

OKAY, BACK TO THE FALLS
THE AMERICAN FALLS
MOM AT THE FALLS
Mom paid for our trolley ride through the park so we spent an hour looking at the different sites Niagara Falls has to offer, and after we boarded our RV and headed towards Chicago dad exclaimed, "I've always wanted to go to Niagara Falls. I'm so glad we stopped here."
Me too, dad.
While driving through Cleveland, Ohio, I found a White Castle and had to stop to check them out. The sauteed onions were yummy. Brandon took over driving from that point and we arrived at the Koa Kampground in South Bend, Indiana, twenty miles from Andrews. On tomorrow's agenda: Andrews University and Chicago.
